·           Would distributors please collect Abbey and Dirleton newsletters today.

·            Christmas Shoebox AppealToday is the last date for handing in shoe boxes. Please bring them to Abbey or Dirleton.

·          Alpha Course in Dirleton Kirk Hall today from 11.00am until noon.

·         Messy Church today, 4.00-6.00pm in St Andrew Blackadder.

·         Buy for Christmas! - Cards for sale at Dirleton (£3.50 for pack of 10) Commemorative mugs in 2 designs (£5.50 each). Beautiful limited edition mounted signed prints (£70). Tea towels (£3.50). 8oz Crystal tumbler (£20) All are available at Dirleton Kirk or from Joyce at the office.

·           Abbey Church will be open during November. If you are able to ‘open and close’ for a week, please sign the list at the back of the church.

·         Indian Recipe Booklet (only £1!) from Hilda or Joyce at the office or at the Guild.  Proceeds to the Woman’s Fellowship for Christian Service, Kalimpong.

·           Choir practicePreparing for Christmas - Monday 7 November 8.00pm in Abbey hall. All very welcome.

·           Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday at 10.00am in the hall, followed
by coffee – all very welcome.

·           REGAL - Thursday, 10 November at 12 noon in the Abbey old Hall. Our guest speaker is Bill McClure and he will ‘reminisce’ on the Zulu wars in South Africa. A soup & sandwich lunch will be served afterwards. Do come along.

·           Church Membership. If you are interested in church membership, please speak to the Minister. There will be an opportunity for this over the winter.

·           Remembrance Sunday 13 November
Dirleton Kirk Service will be at 9.30am.
Coffee will then be served in the hall.
Remembrance Service at the village green War Memorial at 10.45am.
Abbey Church Service at 10.30am, followed by the Service at the town War Memorial at 12noon.
After church services there will be a retiring collection for 'Poppy Scotland'
