Messy Church today, 4.00-6.00pm in St Andrew Blackadder Church.

Nimbong School Project in North India – The total raised at the Dirleton Kirk collections was £2800. A cheque for this amount has been sent to 121 for onward transmission. Thanks to all who contributed in any way.

Abbey Kirk Session meets on Monday 5 November at 7.30pm.

House Group fortnightly at 11 Ben Sayers restarts on Tuesday 6 November at 7.30pm, looking at the book ’What if Jesus really meant what he said?’ Topics will include racism, environment, church, politics, war and many more! Just come along, all are welcome.

Choir practice on Tuesday 6 November at 8.00pm in Abbey old hall – all welcome who enjoy singing.

Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday at 10.00am in the hall, followed by coffee – all very welcome.

Regal meets on Thursday 8 November at 12 noon in Abbey old hall.
Bill Miller will talk on ‘My Journey to the Faroes and Iceland’.
A soup & sandwich lunch will be served afterwards. All welcome.

Jacob’s Well – a new look at a series of studies about our spiritual journey towards healing on Thursday 8 November at 7.30pm at 5 Clifford Road.

 December / January Newsletters – Articles for inclusion in the next Abbey and Dirleton Newsletters should be emailed or handed in no later than 12 November.

Bibleworld Mobile - a high-tech, multimedia classroom - comes to North Berwick 12 – 16 November and will be parked at North Berwick Sports Centre. Volunteers (Safeguard disclosed) are required to help the Bibleworld Coordinator. Information from the church office.

Proclaim Freedom‘How can we remain silent while Christians are being persecuted?’ presented by Dr Patrick Sookhdeo (International Director of Barnabas Fund) in Charlotte Chapel, Edinburgh on Saturday 17 November 2.00-4.00pm.

Opera East Lothian presents ‘Eternal Source of Light Divine’ - a concert of music to sooth the soul - on Saturday 17 November at 7.30pm in St Baldred’s Church. Tickets £10 on the evening or in advance from Alice Stephenson, Optometrist, Market Place.

Remembrance Sunday 11 November
Dirleton Kirk Service will be at 9.30am. Coffee will then be served in the hall
Remembrance Service at the village green War Memorial at 10.45am.
Abbey Church Service at 10.30am, followed by the Service at the town War Memorial at 12noon.
After church services there will be a retiral collection for ‘Poppy Scotland’
