Sunday 25th September


·           Dirleton elders please collect Communion invitations from the West door.

·           Abbey Church will be open during September. If you are able to ‘open and close’ for a week, please sign the list at the back of the church.

·           Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday at 10.00am in the hall, followed
by coffee – all very welcome.

·           Dirleton Harvest Project - helping Edinburgh City Mission. Please donate non-perishable foodstuffs (in date) and cleaning materials. Boxes will be at both doors today, and on 2 and 9 October.
Our gifts are very much appreciated.

·           Abbey Harvest Project – helping Practical Action to give villages access to clean water. Please bring your water bottles filled with coins to our Harvest Service on 2 October. Also, donations of flowering pot plants for distribution locally would be very much appreciated

·           Help wanted to make filled rolls for Youth Alpha on a Wednesday in time for about 11.00am. If you can help please contact Shiona Liddle.

·           Messy Church next Sunday, 2 Oct, 4pm to 6pm, in St Andrew Blackadder

·           An Alpha Course is starting on Sunday 2 October in Dirleton Kirk Hall from 11.00am till noon. If you are interested contact Peter  or Hayley

Sunday 4th September

·           Guild members are reminded of the Presbyterial Council Communion at the West Church, Haddington on Monday 5 September at 7.30pm.

·           Abbey Kirk Session has been postponed until Monday 12 September.

·           Dirleton Kirk Session & Board will now meet on Thursday 8 September.

·           Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday at 10.00am in the hall, followed
by coffee – all very welcome.

·           Scottish Bible Society Coffee Morning is on Saturday 10th September from 10-12noon. If you can help speak to Patsy or Zandra.  Donations of baking, preserves, bric-a brac, books etc welcome and can be handed in on the Friday evening between 6.30 & 7.30pm or on Saturday from 9.00am.

·           Bethany’s Walk for Homelessness on the Water of Leith Walkway (11 miles from Currie Kirk to Ocean Terminal) is on Saturday 10 September. If you would like to take part (or more information) please speak to Joyce at the office. If you would like to sponsor this group or give donation please sign the form at the back of the church or at the ‘teas’ table.
