Fairtrade Fortnight is 24 February to 9 March when we are all encouraged to buy products which have been fairly traded from poorer countries.
Today there will be a Fairtrade stall in Dirleton and Abbey halls.  Do look and see the variety of goods on offer ......and buy!

Gift Day leaflets & envelopes are available at Abbey & Dirleton and they can be handed in at any Abbey or Dirleton service or to the church office.

Abbey Kirk Session meets on Monday 3 March at 7.30pm in Abbey old hall.

Abbey Guild joint meeting on Tuesday 24 March at 7.30pm in Abbey old hall
‘Out of Africa – into Malta (Guild Project) - Rev Robin Hill.  All welcome.

Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday 10.00am in the hall, followed by coffee – all very welcome.

East Lothian Foodbank All donations are welcome and can be handed into the church office. There is a special request for the following items: tinned fruit, long-life milk, long-life fruit juice, sugar and packets of mashed potato. 105 food parcels went out in the month of January.

Abbey and Dirleton Newsletters are available today for distributors. If you do not have one delivered there are extra copies at the back of the church.

House Group meets on Tuesday 25 February at 7.30pm at 11 Ben Sayers Park.
Just come along - all are very welcome.

Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday 10.00am in the hall, followed by coffee – all very welcome.

Abbey Flower Team Calling all existing and budding flower arrangers. Please join us for afternoon tea on Thursday 27 February at 3.00pm in the new hall for a chat about Abbey Church flowers.  Anyone willing to arrange a vase, deliver or donate flowers is welcome. All and any help would be appreciated.

Inspire Prayer gathering on Friday 28 February at 10.30am in Abbey old hall. All very welcome.

Bethany Care Shelter Abbey will be providing meals at the Care Shelter three times in the coming weeks (25 February, 20 and 31st March). Donations of NEW warm socks, underpants, hats, scarves & gloves, basic toiletries and warm sweaters and jackets in good condition would be much appreciated. Please contact Dorothy Kirkpatrick 89 2074 or hand into the church office.

Abbey Evening services start next Sunday, 2 March at 6.00pm.

Scout & Guide Thinking Day Service is on Thursday 20 February at 6.30pm in Abbey Church. All friends and former Scouts and Guides welcome.

1st North Berwick Brownies  As part of celebrating 100 years of Brownies
we are asking residents of North Berwick & Dirleton who have ever had a connection with guiding to take part in an old tradition of placing a light in their window on the night before Thinking Day ie Friday 21st February.
North Berwick Community Council have kindly agreed to support us by switching the lights on tree in the lodge grounds on for the evening.

Traidcraft goods are available at today at Abbey.

Bethany Care Shelter There will be a short meeting after Abbey service today to organise the meals for homeless people at the Bethany Care Shelter. Anyone willing to help please come along, or if unable to come to the meeting, contact Dorothy Kirkpatrick (89 2074) or Joyce at the office.
The dates are 25 February, 20 March and 31 March.

Articles for inclusion in the next Abbey & Dirleton Newsletters should be emailed or handed in by 10 February.
Newsletters will be available for distribution on Sunday 23 February.

House Group meets on Tuesday 11 February at 7.30pm at 11 Ben Sayers Park.
'I Love to Tell the Story’ - discussion of recent Sunday readings. All are very welcome – just come along.

Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday 10.00am in the hall, followed by coffee – all very welcome.

Regal will meet on Thursday 13 February at 12 noon. The listed speaker Malcolm Baker is unable to attend. Richard Bell will substitute with a talk about the History of The North British Rubber Company.
There will be a soup and sandwich lunch after the talk. All welcome.

Safeguarding Training Course on Saturday 1 March, 9.30–12.30 in Haddington West Church. Information on notice boards or further information & booking forms available from the church office.
