Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday 10.00am in the hall, followed by coffee – all very welcome.

Bethany Care Shelter There will be a short meeting after church on Sunday 9th February to organise the meals for homeless people at the Bethany Care Shelter. Anyone willing to help please come along, or if unable to come to the meeting, contact Dorothy Kirkpatrick or Joyce at the office.
The dates are 25 February, 20 March and 31 March.

Traidcraft goods will be available at Abbey next Sunday, 9 February.

Articles for inclusion in the next Abbey & Dirleton Newsletters should be emailed or handed in by 10 February.
Newsletters will be available for distribution on Sunday 23 February.

Regal will meet as usual at 12 noon on Thursday 13 February.
The listed speaker Malcolm Baker is unable to attend.
Richard Bell will substitute with a talk about the History of The North British Rubber Company.
There will be a soup and sandwich lunch after the talk. All welcome.

World Church Sunday is next Sunday 2 February when there will be a speaker from Vine Trust.
For our Gift Day Abbey & Dirleton will be supporting the following charities:
·            Vine Trust
A Christian charity enabling volunteers to make a real difference to some of the poorest children in many countries in the world.
·            Inspire
North Berwick Christian Youth Trust enables local churches to engage with & reach out to young people with links to schools & community groups
·            Crossreach
The Church of Scotland’s own social care agency providing care and support for thousands of people every day of the year.
·            Kalimpong
Giving practical help and support to our twinned McFarlane Memorial Church in North India.

NBHS Personal Search Week will start with a service this evening at 6.00pm in North Berwick High School.

Abbey Guild  meets on Tuesday 21 January at 7.30pm in Abbey hall. Blythswood Care – Margaret Tooth. All are very welcome – do come & join us.

Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday 10.00am in the hall, followed by coffee – all very welcome.

Annual Malawi Coffee Morning is on Saturday 15 February from 10.00am -12noon in the Hope Rooms. Donations of baking, bric a brac, etc would be welcome and can be handed in from 9.00am.

Dirleton Flower Team - Calling all existing and budding flower arrangers -please join us for a chat about Dirleton church flowers along with a cuppa and cake on Tuesday 21 January at 10.30am at Beech House, 40 the Village, Archerfield.  Whether you can create the perfect pedestal or pop a Tesco’s bunch in a vase, all and any help would be welcomed.

Sunday 12th January

Christmas Offerings amounted to Abbey £1086, Dirleton £400 divided equally between Edinburgh Direct Aid and East Lothian Food Bank.
Thank you to all who contributed.
Please note the Food Bank does not require any donations of food from now until March. Thanks to your generosity, they have enough supplies for winter.

House Group restarts on Tuesday 14 January at 7.30pm at 11 Ben Sayers Park. Just come along, all are welcome.
