Ascension Sunday

Prayer - a short gathering for prayer each Sunday morning in Abbey New Hall from 10.00 am to 10.15am, prior to the morning service. This is open to all. Please come to church a little earlier & join in.

Prayer - The Minister & Kirk Session have agreed that there will be a short gathering for prayer each Sunday morning prior to the morning service from 10.00 am to 10.15am. This would be open to all who wish to offer prayerful support for the Minister as he brings God's word to us, for the Sunday School children & their teachers as they introduce our youngsters to Jesus and also for the church throughout Scotland....and in the whole world.
We will meet in the New Hall.......please come to church a little earlier & join us any time between 10.00am & 10 .15am.

Opera East Lothian will be presenting Handel’s ‘Israel in Egypt’, tonight Sunday, 25th May at 7:15pm in St Andrews Blackadder Church.

Inspire Prayer gathering on Friday 30 May at 10.30am in Abbey old hall.

Ain’t We Got Fun – music from the jazz age featuring The Flying Aspidistras and friends. Concert raising funds for Soweto Melodic Voices. At 7.30pm on 31 May in Abbey Church. Tickets £5.

Sunday 18th May

Heart and Soul 2014 in Princes Street Gardens today, 2.00 – 6.00pm
The theme “Hands Across The World” which aims to celebrate the life of the church through the lens of its international heritage, relationships and partners. There are 3 areas: an event programme, congregations showcasing their life, and an avenue of exhibitors focussed on resourcing congregations.
There will be no Abbey evening service tonight.

We would like Abbey church to be open during the week. If you are able to ‘open and close’ please sign the list at the back of the church.

Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday 10.00am in the hall, followed by coffee – all very welcome.

Dirleton Kirk Annual Stated Meeting is today following the morning service.

Pens (at only 50p!) for the 40th Anniversary project to build an Assembly hall at Bishop Kivengere Girls School Muyebe, Uganda, are for sale from Joyce at Dirleton today.
