Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday at 10.00am in the hall, followed
by coffee – all very welcome.

Abbey GuildAfternoon Teas on Saturday 5 October from 2-4pm in
Abbey hall. Proceeds to Guild Projects. Do come along and bring a friend!
Guild Dedication during Abbey morning service next Sunday, 6 October.

Abbey Harvest Appeal – If you have been filling a water bottle with coins for Muyebe School Water Project please bring it to the Harvest Service next Sunday, 6 October, or hand it in to the office. Also gifts of flowering pot plants for distribution locally would be very much appreciated.

Traidcraft goods will be available at Abbey next Sunday 6 October.

Messy Church next Sunday, 6 October, 4-6pm in St Andrew Blackadder.

Abbey Evening services re-start next Sunday, 6 October at 6.00pm (until end December 2013) Theme is Hard Questions of Faith.

Dirleton Kirk 'Book of Memories' During our Quater-centenary year a 'Book of Memories' was circulating for people to record memories of Dirleton Kirk. It has disappeared. Could you check please and return it to the Kirk or to Hilda Kimber? Thank you.

Christian AidA close shave with the razorblade of life’ with Mike Millar
Saturday 26 October at 7.30pm in St Andrew Blackadder Church Hall
An evening of entertainment with music and chat from Mike along with cheese and wine. Tickets £8 (to include a welcoming drink) from Greens & Blues, Henry of North Berwick and the Christian Aid Committee.

Coffee & Quilts’ at Abbey raised £1100 for Alzheimer Scotland.
The total for Bethany’s Walk for Homelessness is now £1040.
Thank you to all who donated and contributed to these two events.

 The Evening Services in Abbey Church this autumn will tackle ‘Hard Questions of Faith’ (which were submitted by you, the public!).
 Services start at 6pm & finish by 7, followed by coffee
(the service on 20th October is not part of this series, but is still open to everyone).

Midweek Study-discussion Group
 The midweek Bible Study will alternate weekly with ‘Test of Faith’, a DVD-based presentation about science & Christianity.
The Test of Faith clips include contributions by some of today’s best-known scientists and theologians. Read more at testoffaith.com
The Bible Studies will look at ‘The Storyline of the Bible: Creation to Celebration’
 You’re welcome to come to either or both of these series, in the Abbey Old Hall on Wednesdays at 7.30pm (finishing at 9pm).
