Abbey Autumn Evening Services

 The Evening Services in Abbey Church this autumn will tackle ‘Hard Questions of Faith’ (which were submitted by you, the public!).

 Services start at 6pm & finish by 7, followed by coffee

(the service on 20^th October is not part of this series, but is still open to everyone).

October 6th	Life’s not fair! (Why, should it be?)
October 13th	Has God disproved science? (Darwin or Deuteronomy?)
October 20th	The problem of Israel (The ‘Holy Land’, then and now)
October 27th	United ‘Bible Sunday’ service, in Abbey Church
November 3rd	What about suicide? (Is it a sin? Can it be forgiven?)
November 10th	Is war ever justified? (Remembrance Sunday)
November 17th	Does charity begin at home? (Can we trust ‘good causes’?)
November 24th	Why did Jesus die? (Was the cross necessary?)

Midweek Study-discussion Group

 The midweek Bible Study will alternate weekly with ‘Test of Faith’, a DVD-based presentation about science & Christianity.

The Test of Faith clips include contributions by some of today’s best-known scientists and theologians. Read more at testoffaith.com

The Bible Studies will look at ‘The Storyline of the Bible: Creation to Celebration’

 You’re welcome to come to either or both of these series, in the Abbey Old Hall on Wednesdays at 7.30pm (finishing at 9pm).
