·           There will be no Evening Services at Abbey during September. Our Evening Services re-start on Sunday 7th October at 6pm, until December 2012.

·           We’d like Abbey Church to be open during the week, if possible. If you can ‘open and close’, please sign the form on the notice board at the back of the church. Thank you.

·           Distributors can collect Abbey Newsletters today. Many thanks.

·           Sunday Afternoon Teas (hosted by St Baldred’s Church) in Abbey new hall today from 2 - 4.30pm. Enjoy delicious home baking and meet up with friends

·           Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday at 10.00am in the hall, followed
by coffee – all very welcome.

·            Music for Malawi Fundraising Events
Saturday 1 September – “Round the World” Dinner at Dirleton Gallery - £25

·           The Guild Presbyterial Council meets on Monday 3 September at 7.30pm in Tranent Parish Church. The speaker will be the Rev Russell McLarty.

·           Jacob’s Well – a new look at a series of studies about our spiritual journey towards healing, starting on Thursdays from 6 September at 7.30pm. All welcome.

·           Bible Society Coffee Morning is on Saturday 8 September. If you are able to help please speak to Hilda Kimber, Patsy Pitkeathly or Zandra Main.

·           Bethany’s Walk for Homelessness is on Saturday 8 September with 3 levels of walks from 3.5 to 10.5 miles. If you would like to take part (or for more information) please speak to Liz Harrison or Joyce at the office.

·           Annual Mid & East Lothian Alpha Prayer & Worship Evening on 12 Sept at 7.30-9.30pm in Ormiston Parish Church. All welcome. More info from office.
