Abbey Harvest Appeal – If you have been filling a water bottle with coins for the Water Project please hand it in today, next Sunday or to the office

Messy Church today from 4-6pm in St Andrew Blackadder Church.

Abbey Evening services re-start this evening at 6.00pm (until end December 2013) Theme is Hard Questions of Faith.

We would like Abbey Church to be open during the day. If you are able to ‘open and close’, please sign the list at the back of the church.

Abbey Kirk Session is holding an open meeting in the Church on Monday evening to hear what the wider Church is thinking about the ordination of gay & lesbian people to the ministry. This will start at 7.30pm with worship and a simple communion. Two other ministers will be coming to help us think through the issues involved. All are welcome to this.

Christmas Shoe Box Appeal – Come along and help cover shoeboxes with Christmas paper on Tuesday 8 October at 2.00pm in Abbey new hall.
Please bring any empty shoeboxes, wrapping paper, scissors etc.

Dirleton Kirk Session & Board meets on Tuesday 8 October at 7.00pm.

Dirleton Prayer Service is on Wednesday at 10.00am in the hall, followed
by coffee – all very welcome.

Bible Study in Abbey hall on Wednesday 9 October at 7.30pm – all welcome

REGAL – The first autumn meeting is on Thursday 10 October at 12noon in Abbey old hall. David Brown will talk on ‘Working with the BBC’.
A soup & sandwich lunch will be served afterwards. All very welcome.

Christian AidA close shave with the razorblade of life’ with Mike Millar 
Saturday 26 October at 7.30pm in St Andrew Blackadder Church Hall
An evening of entertainment with music and chat from Mike along with cheese and wine. Tickets £8 (to include a welcoming drink) from Greens & Blues, Henry of North Berwick, the Christian Aid Committee or the office.


We welcome all visitors today.
